Introducing Paul's Laptop Marketing!

If you have a Laptop, or any computer connected to the internet.. You Can Make Money ONLINE!

This blog will chronicle my efforts, good and not so good, to monetize your computer.
First... A few basics:

If you want to market a product or service and make more money than your competitors, you must first learn some of the basics of marketing. Marketing is not magic, but a very precise logical progression of building a buying emotion in your prospect. if you use this technique in all your marketing pieces, you will be amazed at your success.

What I will be describing here will not only help you in general, but if you want to learn how to market for zero money out of your pocket, you will need how to make the most compelling classified ads as possible. There are dozens of locations where you can place your free classified ads and see a tremendous return on your words. There are millions of people every day who search on Craig's List and Back Page alone. So you will have the opportunity so be seen by thousands of people every day for free so please pay attention even though this is a long post.

There is an acronym known as AIDA that every marketer must learn, understand and master. This technique is being used by every single successful marketer online and offline. I will be using an example of selling an automobile, but obviously it could be any product. Maybe you are familiar with AIDA, but if you don't know what it is, let me explain.

The A stands for Attention.

The very first thing any marketer must do in order to sell a product or service is to get the attention of your potential prospect. Your job is to first determine who your target audience will be and present your product in the most favorable light possible.

Every time you see a television ad for a new car (for example), the ad will have young, attractive, healthy people in a very attractive setting filled with excitement. They do this to get your Attention.

The I stands for Interest.

Now that you are looking at the commercial, you are drawn into a short vacation of the mind with a continued barrage of even more exciting involvement. The idea is to draw you into the product even more. As you watch the commercial, your interest in the product continues to grow.

The D stands for Desire.

As the commercial continues to unfold, you find yourself wanting to own the car yourself because it is presented in such an appealing manner. The whole idea is to get you to be completely involved placing yourself behind the steering wheel experiencing what the driver in the commercial is experiencing. The marketing angle is to have you visualize yourself behind the wheel driving that brand new car.

The A stands for Action.

The compelling commercial builds the interest and desire to own that car and will end with what is known as “a call to action.”  “See your Automobile Dealer Today and take advantage of Zero Percent Financing!” So now they have not only told you to go to your local Automobile Dealer, but they tell you to hurry and take advantage of the zero percent financing. Now you feel like if you don’t buy today, you will pay a lot more for the very same car later…so why wait?

Study all television ads, display ads, post card advertising, Internet advertising and radio advertising and you will see they all use the very same approach. If you follow this same technique, you will find your marketing will become very effective.

In summary:

When you learn how to master AIDA in everything from classified ads to video, you will have a huge head start over people who don’t know how to build Attention, Interest, Desire and Action in their prospects. My goal is to have powerful words fill your classified ads that will pull your prospect into your product and immediately reach for their credit card so you can start making money fast.
I suggest you become a student of marketing by studying as many commercials and advertising pieces you can especially classified ads. You will learn to use powerful keywords and focus on benefits of your product with as few words as possible. Experience is a great teacher. Duplicate what successful marketers use and you too will increase the number of sales for your product or service by using this simple, but powerful technique.
